The Boeing doing space and defense and the Boeing doing commercial are not the same. One are remnants of old Boeing (commercial), the other remnants of McDonnell Douglass(space&defense).
The MD culture won, so commercial suffers.
I mean the first time they shot it into orbit uncrewed it went into an incorrect orbit... this last time the parachutes didn't all open correctly... The whole thing is a mess to me

because it was 10+ years ago, people forget all the SpaceX failures. Systems Shit is hard.

SpaceX hasn’t had near the capsule issues since the beginning and even in the article NASA points out they ran SpaceX through the wringer over their new way of development compared to Boeing. SpaceX had a toilet leak on one of the three but that’s been it.
The issues from 10+ years ago for SpaceX was recovery of the rockets something never done before but now they are masters in it and everyone else is trying to catch up

I said 10+, not to include 10 years ago. Sorry, I'm old. But people forget SpaceX's first three launches all resulted in failures, which almost ended the company. People also forget all advanced aerospace is failing up.
They were blowing up prototypes in 2020 and blow up Starship every launch so far. This is what it is.
