Distributed, permisionless git hosting is something we totally need at some point in order to implement cypherpunk vision. Glad there is some development there.
Ironic that basic freedom cannot be protected openly. The only real free spaces are driven to the dark web these days. What a totalitarian society where to develop free software we mush shield ourselves behind nyms, onion routing and strong cryptography.

I'm glad alternative options are being developed. Permissionless apps are fundamental. Someone yesterday even posted about a proposal to KYC cloud computing

That's why you need decentralized everything. Even for getting food-- depending on a store just isn't enough. Where I live. At one point, they limited the amount of Rice, water (by the case), certain household items, etc. The point is if I need 5-20lb bags of rice during certain times like of an emergency. I will be limited. CBDCs will insure this kind of agenda.
