II dont feel they are putting much effort into going to the moon. Bezos just wants to get space flight, right? Musk wants to get to mars. I dont see much push to go to the moon, but I could be missing the news on that.

You're not really paying attention. Musk wanting to get to Mars is through the moon first. The moon, if the water is there like we think it is, will be the gas station for Mars. We will put a small nuclear reactor there and we will convert H2O to rocket propellant and O2.
There will also be stations. in low Earth orbit (LEO). Musk 's Starship will need to lift off the planet, refuel in orbit, and then go on to the moon. There is much more if you really want to know. There is lots of coverage even on YT.

I thought he would have landed and started exploring or drilling by now. There is water on the moon? Doesnt musk have a bunch of satellites in LEO?

You seem interested and have questions, you should do some research. Are you aware that India recently landed a vehicle on the moon? China just launched three people to their space station (like today) and you can believe we don't know their plans and timeline.

India landed one on the moon? I didnt hear anything about that. China can launch a bunch of stuff, half their stuff will burn up in orbit lol Or burn up when they reenter orbit, like half of the satellites they dont take care of.

That's how you learn and improve. the fact that China doesn't have our system and values means they cann"fail up" faster and they're likely to improve a lot faster than the West in the future.
