While also ...probably a decade or so ago...., I remember someone arguing that one could view BuzzFeed and BuzzFeed News as essentially two different entities, with the latter apparently more trustworthy. Not sure how accurate that was back then -- or if it's still the case today.

I know. I held my nose. A broken clock is accurate twice a day. It came from their leftist, anti big bank perspective. I did verify the information as best I could for just that reason.

I have never in my life seen BuzzFeed News unironically quoted as a source. I've only ever known BuzzFeed for their ragebait shorts on Facebook and that was....probably a decade or so ago....
