Lol, so what do I do with 40 sandwiches a day? Unless I am meant to sell them for a profit somehow, wtf? Why not just pay them in equity in the business

Depends on the reason they posted the ad. If it were due to inflation and a loss of confidence that the next shift would pay the same in real terms from the last and constant management strain from pay raises due to inflation, and people have the confidence that Bitcoin, which may buy less after a shift in the near term, would, unlike the dollar, in the longer term buy much more than that shift then yes it may fix this.
However, if its because they were hoping people would value the sandwiches at their market price, rather than the raw material price allowing them to effectively pay staff less than their dollar paid counter-parts, then no, Bitcoin would not fix this.
