I think that almost all of us here have a song that we repeat on loop, that is our favorite for some reason and that is engraved in our mind, in my case, I would say that my favorite song is Can't Stop by Red Hot Chili Peppers, mostly because I listened to it during my adolescence countless times and it helped me a lot to discover other songs of the group and others and to investigate more in the music that I liked, what is your favorite song of all time and why?

What a question.

I have to go along with Sukiyaki - both the Japanese version and the English one sung by 4PM.

I think Sukiyaki encapsulated my desire to live in Japan one day - which I did. Best two years of my life.

reply

I'm going to listen to it right now, if you can share the video I would appreciate it Sensei.

reply

Thank you for your interest haha

here it is.

4PM means for positive music, btw

reply

Thanks for sharing it, it made my hair stand on end, especially halfway through the song, I really loved it.

Your comment made my day xP

Oh man, I always loved def tech and B'z!

reply

I love Def Tech too! Especially love My Way

I think they are still together

reply

This is not a fair question. Impossible to choose one.

The Dock of the Bay by Otis Redding is a song I never tire of. How about that.

reply

Well, I did know it from having heard it, but I didn't know it because of the title, I like it a lot.

reply

I've never heard it, but I'm going to do it right now.

reply

Ooooo that's a tough one.

I'm struggling with this but I think one track I never skip is Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark. The live version is much better than the studio, but this song just has so many memories attached to it and seeing maiden live has always been fantastic, so if I had to choose on the spot off the top of my head, it'd be that I think.

Chilli peppers can't stop is a fantastic track. I always enjoy hearing it.

reply

So long without listening to it! I really like Fear of the Dark, the rhythm changes of this song are brutal, thanks for reminding me, so many good songs and so little time to listen to them!

reply

I can't pick just one, but this one is definitely among my favorites.

reply

This is one song from Bollywood which is most popular overseas.

YES! This song really can change your day, thanks.

reply

U2, I almost forgot that band, good choice.

Metallica - Nothing else matters

I honestly find this question unanswerable. Songs are so associated with both moods and memories that I probably have two or three hundred "favorite" songs.

reply

I've always liked heavy music, extreme vocals and bold experiments with aesthetics and sound, but this is the song I listen to most often. fantastic energy, incredible vocal acrobatics and a drive that many bands can never achieve.

And if we are talking about classics, then of course Pink Floyd and their album "The Wall". After hearing it as a schoolgirl my world just stopped being the same.

I would say The fields of Athenry

Wow, what a question to attempt to answer. I tend to fall in love with songs that are meaningful in the moment. I looked back at "favorites" that came to mind, each with their own set of emotions and memories attached. Choosing just one felt like I was abandoning part of myself, but I love this song.

As I am an Indian, so of course Hindi songs. Of 80's are my favourite songs But I have one fav song of English- One day I'm gonna fly away.
Which is yours favourite one?

reply

I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman".

reply

Very tough question indeed. But I reckon Michael Andrews & Gary Jules' version of "Mad World" is a top candidate for me personally
