I would like to go to the more rural side of Japan. And yes! While I was in Tokyo I saw a small lot crammed packed with graves! That’s pretty strange, I heard that you either rent a lot or bury them in your own property.
I have a couple rolls of film I have to develop from my trip and one them have a photo of the gravesite. Hopefully they turn out well.
Yeah, my family has a plot next to some pretty famous people from the past.
They are big on cremation there.

It’s tradition to pickup the bones of your loved ones with chop sticks and put them into a ceremonial urn right? I wouldn’t mind having that happen when I pass.

They usually cremate, then pick up the bones with huge chopsticks.
Put them in an urn and then put it in a box with everyone elses.
At least that is what my family does.
The headstone always gets updated.
