Where are my horror movies lovers? Let's share some movie indications!
Last week I watched "Late Night With the Devil" and I thought it was going to be my #1 horror movie of 2024, but oh lord... It went sour at the end, and it kinda ruined the experience.
I'm looking for some great movies to watch!
My primary media consumption is horror so I am excited for this post!
Late Night with the Devil got me to watch Ghostwatch (1992) and that was fantastic. The mockumentary style of Ghostwatch also got me to watch Phoenix Forgotten (2017) and The Phoenix Incident (2015), both of which are decent. I love horror movies so I think my grading curve is a bit extreme.
For recent movies: Abigail (2024) was way more fun than I expected. The First Omen (2024) was also way better than I anticipated. Tarot (2024) was no bueno.
I think Talk to Me (2023) is probably the best horror movie to come out in a long while if you haven't already seen it.

Gonna give them a shot. I really want to watch Talk to Me, but I think the hype that was made around it made me avoid it.
The first Omen was good, I really enjoyed it. It's pretty unsettling, and I loved how they used pratical effects.
What is turning me down from lot's of horror movies is how fake the special effects are. Pratical effects are waaaaay more convincing.

i thought 'the ritual' was well done, interesting.
'Bone Tomahawk' was pretty good but kinda makes you sick when you learn what the fuck it is
