I used one of those when I was younger, but my wife bought a power mower and it's enough of an upgrade that I'm not tempted to go back.
The robots aren't quite for me, but mostly because they seem too expensive and I'm skeptical of the software you have to install.

I'll keep it in mind. I'm trying to phase out as much lawn as I can, anyway, so ideally I won't need any mower, someday.

We have an electric mower, because we don't like dealing with gas and don't like the loud noise.

Yeah, Im not a fan of the gas mowers.
But I do like the older style gas mowers, without all the safety features.
They are just so much easier to use....except they burn more gas and oil.
Last few years I encouraged my parents to move to the reel mower, its so much easier to handle.
It can be a bit tricky to keep them sharp and cutting corrrectly, but once you set it up correctly it is so smooth.
