The problem, which I believe is why Tom and Bob quit doing it, is that someone then has to actually read Krugman's nonsense and devote their time to thinking about it.

Maybe it can be more of a team effort/pile on.
We can just make a habit of putting "Contra Krugman" in the title of posts like this and then let the community tear into him.
