Only Obama stayed in DC. Every other president moved.
W Bush retired to his ranch in Texas.
Bill traveled and lived in New York.
Herbert walker bush retired in kennebunkport Maine
Reagan moved to California, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara
Carter moved back to Georgia and volunteered for habitat for humanity
Ford moved to Palm Springs
Nixon also moved back to California
LBJ moved to Texas
JFK was assassinated in Dallas
Eisenhower retired in Palm Springs
Truman moved back to independence Missouri
FDR died in Georgia

Which ex presidents stayed in DC?
Maybe they rented or stayed in a hotel but they didn’t buy a house in DC after their term ended unlike Obama
