If a game was so close that it ended in a draw, then I think the chance should remain in the pool

First of all, there's no game in T20 that ends in a draw. We always get a 'result' or 'no result'.

Also, the rules for the pool have been decided prior to the world cup. If a match gets to a result anyhow, that result will always be counted for the pool.

Team winning in innings or in super over, a win is a win and a loss is a loss, so there's no point of discussing it.

No, it shouldn't be to be really honest.

Even 1 run can win or lose you a match so it cannot get any closer than that.
