Donald Trump doubles down at fundraiser event.

Trump has once again come out in support of Bitcoin.
This time at a tech fundraiser event in San Francisco, Trump called himself a “crypto president”. (Reuters)
Trump also raised $12 million from the fundraiser hosted by tech venture capitalists David Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya.
According to Republican National Committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon, Trump stressed that he was supportive of Bitcoin
But…
He did not offer specifics on his proposed policy.
Here’s a quick summary of the promises Trump has made so far:
  • Support the right to self-custody
  • Commute Ross Ulbricht’s prison sentence.
  • Never allow the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency.
But Trump’s not the only US presidential candidate supporting crypto, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has also promised:
  • No taxes on Bitcoin.
  • Backing the US dollar with Bitcoin.
  • Put the US budget on blockchain.
Bitcoin as a presidential debate topic is well and truly heating up. 🔥

Right, and while I think Kennedy & Trump are for Bitcoin, they are just doing this out of politics not because they actually believe and understand it. I remember Trump just a few short years ago saying he didn't like bitcoin and he likes the dollar. These two presidents also don't understand the difference between shitcoins and bitcoin.
Still a 10x better vote than Biden thought thats for sure.

My sense is that RFK at least partially understands what he’s saying, whereas I’m sure Trump has no idea.

Bitcoin doesn't need Trump, Trump needs bitcoin.

One day all this noise will pass and we can get someone fresh.
I have a feeling that Trump has no idea what any of that means.
