Nice. I need to get my hands on some non-kyc sats.

Random question: what’s the thinking behind mixing non-kyc sats obtained on robosats? Why do it?
reply
I believe it's a way to hide what you're doing with those sats from the person who sent them (and people they tell about it). It's a good idea, especially if the seller finds out who you are via your payment method
reply
Hmmm yeah that makes sense. Jeez, why trade P2P at all then? If you’re doxxed on robosats, just go the convenient and lower fee route and buy your sats on Swan
reply
Getting doxxed p2p on robosats (not likely) is much better than getting KYC'd by an entity like swan. Better a peer know you than an entity beholden to regulations. That entity has to comply with regulations (old and new) and may even be used to surveil or sanction you in the future. Just my two sats. Fwiw, I like swan but I think it's best to buy noKYC only if you want to minimize risk

Makes sense. Thanks for spelling that out.

Very useful, I wish I had these instruction when I started

Couldn't you buy an amazon gift card with fold, earn 5% + spin back in bitcoin, share the gift card code with the robosats seller, and then get noKYC sats from the seller? Guess I'll try it out!
reply
Let’s us know if that works
reply
Bought $100 Amazon US gift card on Fold:
  • Got 6.5% back from 5% amazon gift card bonus + spin
  • Sold gift card on Robosats successfully by sending claim code to peer. Got ~$100 worth of bitcoin
It works!
reply
Did you leak any information when you sent the gift card? Like name or address?
reply
None. Just sent my gift card claim code and my peer entered it in
reply
Did you Get the code first then sent it to user?
reply
I gotta try this! Thanks
reply
Got the code from Fold after purchasing the gift card then sent it to user. Took awhile to find someone on robosats who wanted a $100 amazon gift card tho
reply
Yup, should work :)

Was thinking the same thing
The fatal flaw is opt-in privacy. It doesn't work for z-cash, why would you think this which is like 5 times more complicated will work for BTC?
reply
This is how bitcoin should always be used.

Non-kyk.sats.get();
