Oil Country Barren?
Canada's dream of ending the Stanley Cup drought may be hanging by a thread as the Oilers went down 2-0 in their Stanley Cup series with the Florida Panthers. The Panthers tight checking style, aggressive forechecking, opportunist offensive strategy and all world goaltending have the Oilers producing nothing in the win column so far.
As the series shifts from Florida to Edmonton, the Oilers need the goals to start flowing on home ice because if oil country proves to be barren this series and Canada's Stanley Cup dreams will be over in four games.
Sats for all, GR
It's never good going down 2-0, but let's see if they can hold serve on home ice. These are really two very good teams. I'm glad they're both here.

Florida's checking is unbelievable. They are like magnets even on Edmonton's skill players. Oilers have no room to operate.

Barkov is really impressive

Yeah I watched the first two periods and Edmonton had no legs. They can’t solve panthers d. Barkov is a monster in the d zone. This guy always seems to be in the right position to break up chances.
I was pulling for Edmonton and after game one when they were fast and getting pucks on net Florida had them figured out. Injuries to Kane and nurse don’t help things either.

They are going to need to find something at home.
