So to answer your question I do not make a lot of SATS using SN, but SN is much much, much better than Reddit.
I've never used Reddit and nor I'm interested now.
Don't get me wrong not negative, nor complaining, just reality to make $ 5.00 a day in SATS doesn't seem realistic.
Isn't it fiat mindset? If you get 10k Sats right now and 10 dollars, what would you chose? I would happily choose 10k sats because I know they will be worth a lot more but $10 will be worth a lot less. Also, it depends on where you lice. For me $5 is enough to provide for all essentials of two people.
I'm not getting you wrong here, just trying to clarify that situations are different from place to place, person to person.

I would choose 10 dollars because I can buy 15k sats with it
