Does anyone have a hard figures on storage requirements.
Also, any fundamental differences between implimentations?

I figured out what happened. That was an old account I abandoned a year ago since I didn't create the keys securely. Sometime last week I attempted to connect my Mutiny wallet to Habla through NWC. I accidentally grabbed the old keys from an old Habla set up on a laptop, and used that for the NWC, which seemed to change my Mutiny default account without me noticing! Crazy. I lost the ability to zap as a result, but didn't realize the cause. I know, TMI, but thanks for noticing, or I wouldn't have straightened it out for a while.

Thanks for sharing! I'm not a Nostr user in every sense. I've just downloaded amethyst and I can't do much because of not habing a pubkey. Can we get a pubkey through mobile?
However, I understand Nostr and it's like private internet. I also believe that this is a beginning. Much more to come.

This link gives you options for generating keys off line, including non tech methods towards the end: https://orangepill.dev/nostr-guides/guide-nostr-key-generation-and-management/#tools-to-generate-nostr-keypair-offline

Thank you so much I was also looking for this. I thought we can only create key on desktops.

Nice find.

Would love if there was a guide to set up a personal relay plus a Nostr client so that it works as a private chat room, similar to Telegram (besides the client side encryption, npubs would need to be whitelisted at the relay in order to read and write events).

Enterprising.

isn't this the key? or do you have two accounts?
reply
You are correct. I quickly copied mine off my Mutiny wallet. I must figure out what happened?
reply
I'm not sure, but the one you shared has your name on it. Maybe you have two without even knowing it. Haha!

Looks like I copied an old nostr pub key from an account that got compromised a year ago!

Running our own relay contributes to decentralization, but won't it limit the reach of our notes? Perhaps it's a client-side issue, but if no one subscribes to our relay, no one will see our notes. Is that correct? Or am I misunderstanding something?
reply
You probably know more than me re nostr. I envisioned a private relay as something you would only invite certain people to use. Sort of a closed system? Maybe I'm wrong?
reply
While that's an interesting use case, I was primarily thinking about using this feature to save our notes. As you know, when you delete a note, it doesn't mean it's really gone.
reply
Yes, I know! My brain has trouble grasping the journey of a note, even though I've been sending them out into the world for a year and a half.
