@Undisciplined's daily posts will help with it, but even the second bite of the apple has a short shelf life. I wonder if anyone reads the daily "this day in history" after 24 hours? Likewise, my newsletters have a short shelf life. That's why tweaking the awards for old content is a great idea. I also think the related links at the bottom of posts has helped.
I think there is value in providing your newsletters because sometimes I use them as a base to find an old article, especially so because you include recommendations. It’s like Goodreads

Thanks. I just feel like it's cumulative. @Undisciplined's posts, my newsletters, and we need more. I wish someone would put out a weekly newsletter featuring maybe two or three old posts, and write about them. I think the editorializing is important to drum up interest by giving the reader a reason to read the whole thing. Bare links? Less so, but still valuable.

Related Posts helps, too, as does @elvismercury's occasional post that highlights a bunch of posts on a particular them.
We have a nice start on this and the solution probably will be the combination of a bunch of separate efforts, rather than one silver bullet.
I'd really enjoy a "Golden Oldie" series, like you're describing. I just don't want to do it.

Maybe I'll get motivated. Related Posts is really great. I read those a lot myself.

I forgot to mention pinned posts.
With all these grains of sand, we’ll have a heap in no time.

I've definitely found several good posts from your newsletters that I would have otherwise missed.
