I think this is one of the main cons of being paid for the time you are there instead of your actual productivity. I'm sure there are plenty of unqualified people in job positions everywhere, and on top of that, the motivation and incentive to actually try and do better isn't there because again most are paid just for the hours they are there, not the work they put in. I experienced this when working past jobs. People would just do the absolute bare minimum and still complain about not being paid enough. But the unqualified and incompetent nature just stems from the fact that those who created this fiat system are some of the most incompetent people to begin with, so makes sense that the rest of the system is just as bad.
Let us continue to build this new system that grows based off of genuine, meaningful, and valuable work!
It reminded me of a video l saw of a construction worker who was paid for the job, and one who was paid by the hour. Can you guess who was radically more efficient and skilled?
