Personal note on Mr. Schneier: I stopped reading his blog years ago when he started sounding very authoritative and although his thoughts are as valid as any other random kid's thoughts, he started to misuse his popularity (long before Elon) and spread FUD without any evidence (recall his articles about "Russia-backed" cyber attacks).

I don't endorse the argument being made, but it's good to be aware of what's being discussed. A lot of the tactics discussed are used in the wild and are likely to get worse over time. Good reminder to build federated services and social groups instead of relying on central service providers.
