Have you guys considered making "freebie" a temporary state?

You could make it so zaps first go towards the fee and once it's paid the freebie status goes away.

Reading it again, I think you're talking about something else. @k00b mentioned that you could pay for a freebie later iirc, like an upgrade.

But you mean that zaps would pay for the upgrade, right?

Yeah, you could do both, though. It seems like one way of preventing freebie abusing deadbeats from overwhelming SN.
