The public sector and the mainstream have merged into a power complex that can manipulate public opinion and set narratives at will. We've seen it during the lockdowns and we're seeing it now during the Ukraine war - you can say anything, but the consequences are unpredictable, and the media sector is doing its part to poison the general atmosphere, divide and bend the truth, and turn people against each other. 'Divide et impera' - the motto of the Caesars, but played out by the dumbest amateur dramatics troupe politics has ever seen (look at Germany now...).
To understand how propaganda works in practice, here are a few examples of how the American mainstream press is now trying to relativize the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and distract people from the gravity of the event. It leaves you breathless!

If you look just minutes later all these outlets do use the words "assassination attempt"

These outlets long since lost the benefit of the doubt and these headlines are exactly in line with what we've come to expect from them. Supposedly professional journalists should be able to do better.
"Possible shots fired. Visibly wounded Trump escorted off stage." Something like that should have been pretty easy to come up with.

As bad as those headlines are, I can see the incentives that produce them. These media outlets have to have something posted to their pages about what happened within minutes of the actual event. But they don't want to over reach on the headline because they don't know what happened. Everyone is thinking that it was gun shots and an assassination attempt. But they can't write that until they are sure. At least they were quickly updated as additional facts became known.

One can read history and see this is not new. What is new is the number of people who have been awakened to it. Read about William R. Hearst and others back in the 1800s and you'll see the only thing new is scale.

I expected nothing less from our mainstream. They are proven propaganda outlets from our socialist regime. I think it is important that we speak this message up to our grandparents, parents, and relatives that are more trusting of the media. I know dozens of people that still read this stuff and they are completely blind to the fact that they are consuming false narratives.
