The excuse they gave as to why there was no one on that roof is absolutely laughable.
Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle told ABC News on Monday that the reason there were no security personnel atop the structure where a gunman took shots at former President Donald Trump was because of “safety” concerns about the slope of its roof.
“That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof,” she said according to Fox News. “And so, you know, the decision was made to secure the building, from inside.”
