Healing severe diseases with praying is exactcly what people were doing while black death was in europe 700 years ago. Even flagellants appeared as a way for salvation via embracing Jesus's pain by inflicting it to themselves. And they were still dying.

Today's "christian science" have  [promoted]( https://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/24/nyregion/24heal.html) to avoid doctors at all cost a while back, *even for children with grave illnesses*.

Or JW prohibiting blood transfusions.

There is nothing divine in *human* beliefs. Just humans dehumanising themselves and their children.
