Look living in DC I have seen a ton of random things that have thrown me for a loop over the years.... This though... It takes a cake for recent memorable things... Yes some people were taking a break from walking their pig I... have no words
I always wanted a pet pig

In the middle of Washington DC though!?!?! I mean we were nowhere near any type of home I would think of keeping a pig! The yards for the houses around Navy Yard are so small you can sut them with scissors
reply
I lived in DC for a while when I was younger. I agree. Not the ideal location for a pet pig.
reply
I hear they stink :P
reply
I don't think so. From what I know of pot bellied pigs, they are pretty clean animals, smart and easily trainable. And, I love dogs, but I have owned some stinky ass canines
reply
I mean I am surrounded by apartment complexes and row houses.... Idk where you would stick one!
reply
You would have to bring it inside, right? Arent their vultures everywhere in DC? You dont have coyote problems, but I have seen foxes there before!
reply
Well since I have been here... we had rabid foxes bite Dem Members of Congress... Bears (that's kinda still ongoing) and Zebras that got lose (4 total) and the final ones took a few months to locate...
But yeah last week we had temps higher than back home in Texas.... it was 107 with heat index... freakin wild weather
reply
I remember a lion got loose one time, was that in DC? I was out playing at a playground with my kids once and saw two huge foxes rush by. I thought they were german sheppards they were so big!
reply
I heard they are clean, but the messes they leave arent so much. They are trainable.
reply
I honestly do not know and was just making a pun/joke from the stereotype lol
reply
I pretend to know. They could stink. My wife wanted to get one about ten years ago. We pulled the plug on the idea at the last minute.
reply
I heard they are enjoyable and smart, though. I just wouldnt want an 80 lbs pig walking around my house. Just imagine what you would have to feed it.....
reply
I totally would get it if there was green space... but houses have no yards here and i don't see an apartment complex being like ah yes let your pig in please lol
reply
Im sure it is a private residence. Rich people have strange habits.
The dog is looking at it like wtf is that?
reply
Poor Wamps (his nickname) wasnt blessed with a ton of brain cells... I def think he lost a few more seeing it!
reply
"Wampa" also looks very surprised. 😂😂😂🤷🤷🤷
reply
Honestly I thought he was going to break!
reply
I see the dog, two people on a bench, and that politician beside them... What pig?
reply
The worst part of it is picking up the 50-100 small poop balls with a plastic bag… every fricking 10 hours 😂
reply
Just imagine where they have to keep it. Gross.
reply
Its apartment buildings and row houses with the row houses having stairs.... idk where you would stick this thing!
reply
Maybe a backyard? I am supposing they bring him inside. Can you imagine all the compost you could make? lol
reply
the backyards (if they have them) are maybe 10 feet by 10 feet... its not even enough for a dog....
reply
Do pigs need to exercise a lot? Im just not sure on that. 10x10 is not a lot of space. If I was a neighbor, I would complain about the smell. I wonder how the get rid of its poop?
reply
DC has crazy policies as well for waste removal.... For instance, getting my hair cut there is a $4.25 "environmental fee"... I am a guy I do not have that much hair I will take it home with me...
reply
WHAT?!?! I have never heard of that. Maybe it is time to change barbers or cut it at home. What do they do about all the hair you shave and put down the sink? Do they charge or that, too? WTF
reply
Honestly... it is just... wild lmao
