The positive
An all you can eat location for the tech savvy, simply awesome. Love it!
The negative
In it's current state hub or no hub, not helping on adoption. A newbs help would spin looking at this or trying to set it up...
PS. stacker news, IMO, should jump in on this trend, the platform is awesome, the following and engagement is quite something in comparison to anything else I have seen, even more than NOSTR social app. I hope for stacker news to create stacker hub, stacker wallet, stacker cloud, but done thinking on the newbs, thinking on adoption, adding the option for us the geeks is cool, but it should not be the norm. Otherwise there won't be adoption.
Its open source and you can self host it. That's a big positive.

Sure. Let me know which email address to send it to. I'll be looking here during the next few minutes, so I'll copy it and you can delete it right after...

Awesome thanks, I replied to your other comment but all good it is a Firefox email relay which I remove and regenerate periodically so no worries πŸ‘

@krispy_donkey you can also suggest any other way of course for you to send me the email address. NOSTR dm could be a way.

Setting it up now. What wallet do you recommend with NWC support?

Here you can find list of apps supporting NWC: https://github.com/getAlby/awesome-nwc/
We suggest simply using our getalby.com PWA... or testing our mobile app (#soon) ;)

What does the hub do?

It's a lightweight open-source node app, that we can host for you or you do on your own.
So you can store your bitcoin, open channels, use lightning - everything!

Thanks!

I think we look at the adoption issue wrong, when we talk about adoption, the first thing that anyone could think of is the massive use of Bitcoin among all people. But this raises an unknown, actually an endless number of questions... to mention one, we have the following. Will everyone really use Bitcoin? Every day I learn a little more about how money works, the economy, among other topics, which I have reached, thanks to Bitcoin, because the me of 4 years ago would never be interested in those topics, since I was just another sleeper among the population. I realize that there are people who, truth be told, I don't think they will ever look for Bitcoin as their savior, they are really immersed in the social illusion in which we live, and in that fallacy there is no room for the orange pill that wakes you up. So I think that we have had massive adoption since Bitcoin passed its first halving. Since then it has done nothing but grow, develop and expand. And every day it continues to gain new followers.

No problem with android dude! Check out this example. I log in to my brave browser. Then I use the (install app) option located in the options, and it installs a shortcut just like an app on the phone's desktop. And secondly, for more comfortable use, I have synchronized it with blue wallet and I can do all my operations from the wallet interface for greater convenience. And it works perfectly πŸ’―

There's going to be mobile app to which you can connect your Hub.
For now you can use Alby Extension in Firefox on mobile

stackers have outlawed this. turn on wild west mode in your /settings to see outlawed content.
