Fountain β€”β€” Podcasting app with sats
I like it. It may be more fun if tipping x sats then can send DM or other bonus etc...
  • Value4value model
  • Best UI out of all the podcasting2.0 apps ( so far )
    πŸ€”
  • Old fashion email sign-up.
sMiles β€”β€” Get free Bitcoin rewards for walking, shopping, playing games, and more
Quite nice!
  • Nice UI
  • It runs itself (you do not need to connect to the internet or open the app to walk )
  • Steps ranking
    πŸ€”
  • Old fashion email sign up
  • Privacy concern, since it automatically reads the data
  • Built-in articles, but with ads
  • Built-in shopping, but with the tacking and third party payment might backfire the anonymity.
Vida β€”β€” Get paid to engage with your fans.
Quite fun, pay to text or call! which made people value your time more.( this is the way!οΌ‰
  • Easy setup
  • Clean UI
  • Built-in call and massage ( yay! no more sharing any personal numbers )
  • Bonus: builder reached out to ask for feedback
    πŸ€”
  • Old fashion email sign-up.
  • Concern: chat data encrypted?
LNCal β€”β€” Calendly with sats
Nice tool for scheduling.
  • Lighting login ⚑️
  • Easy setup
    πŸ€”
  • The hourly rate is hidden on the booking page, a bit hard to notice.
Carrot - Learn to earn
I don't see much benefit in posting content and directing readers to read there. Seems like adding one unnecessary layer?
  • Earning 5 sats per article
  • Built-in sats calculator
    πŸ€”
  • Old fashion email sign-up.
  • Too many ads 🚩
Zebedeeβ€”β€” Gaming with sats
I like to idea of playing to earn, but I'm not a gaming fan.. πŸ˜‚
  • Old fashion email sign-up
  • The only app that does not accept alias mail accounts
  • Weird logic: download Zebedee then direct to download other gaming apps.
Stackers news is still the best onboarding experience so far.
  • Clean UI
  • Lighting login
  • High-quality users
  • Daily distributes sats
  • Photo auto zoom in when on the phone - details!
Maybe it will be even nicer with these:
  • Save posts for later
  • The option of following some interesting brains
  • The ability to edit the post?

I am curious why not make Lighting the default login mode? Quick, easy and safe ⚑️ ( Thanks to all the builders behind these fun projects, if you happen to be reading this )
Also, I am wondering is there anyone building a discourse with lighting login and sats tipping? That would be amazing to solve community-building and incentive problems.
Oh, there's also Satsback.com. It supports a surprising amount of online stores and while sometimes it takes a while for my purchases to be credited, it's always worked! Just make sure to either do it in a VM or in the very least, in an incognito browser window since it's important that you accept all cookies. A great way to stack sats when buying things you'd (hopefully) buy anyway.

Theres also Sphinx, which is pretty cool! I’ve worked with their team a bit and while the whole thing was probably released too early, it’s got some pretty solid potential
reply
Yes, I am using it myself! But it is a bit buggy, and with the node thing, not sure if it is easy attracting more users.
reply
They offer cloud hosted nodes for you. Also, it’s a lot more reliable if you run it outside Tor.
reply
Now I see what's the issue πŸ™Š
reply
I'd throw in the Blockfi credit card because it's 1.5% sats back Also Cash App debit card let's you round up in sats (like Roundly)
reply
Blockfi does not support lightning.
reply
πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
reply
I stopped using this card after they declined my $15 withdrawal during the defi blow up. A part of me regrets even using BlockFi but when podcasters interview the founders you get captured. I often think if Companies like coinbase and BlockFi stuck to only Bitcoin and had low time preference they would be absolute titans in the upcoming bitcoin economy
reply
I think the best strategy is to use fewer services from any companies
reply
Nice , but I am trying to avoid KYC crypto cards πŸ•΅πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ•΅πŸΌ
Here is my personal preference atm
  • Credit card to spend fiat money while earning miles
  • Non-KYC crypto cards or cash for sensitive spending
reply
Nice feedback!
reply
Strong force we are ⚑️ haha
reply
Somehow I still like more the podcast v4v experience in Breez, but the main issue is that Breez doesn't have all podcastindex.org podcasts.
reply
Exactly, and I mostly use Breez as a wallet only πŸ˜‚
reply
there is also zapread a nice content creation website, what do you think about it?
reply
Just have a look, feels a bit messy πŸ‘€
reply
Nice post thanks!
I have been playing with Strike lately and I think it is being slept on a little. The utility to simplicity ratio is off the charts in my opinion. By adding a BTC "savings" account to a regular money transfer app, they have basically stripped banking down to the bare essentials. Will definitely be the app I use to bring normies in.
reply
Probably, but I prefer staying away from KYC wallets πŸ‘€
reply
@Natalia, Lightning, not lighting.
reply
Sorry for my typo sometimes(hey, I am a human πŸ˜‚ ). SN def needs an edit option!
reply
I live for the day LN-auth has me signing into everything.
I really like what alby is doing to try and push that
reply
Yes, and I was surprised how easy to integrate with Alby to the sites⚑️
reply
oh... you missed out on starbackr.com project.. pls post your feedback...!
reply
I like the idea of earning sats with content, but I think new platforms should pay less attention to promoting the "earning" part.
Why not make it more fun and easy for the creators to connect with their audience? πŸ‘€

Check out lnbingoapp.com which demonstrates how fast Lightning can deliver payments. No login or sign up or payments required - the site uses Twitter to uniquely identify users and sends an LNURL-Withdraw links (via Opennode) to instantly delivery prizes over Lightning.
