They never come to the party solo. They travel in packs.
Headline from the Globe and Mail Today: "Money markets have quietly become convinced another Bank of Canada Rate cut is coming in September"
Got Bitcoin?
I think we are facing a big rise, which will explode at any moment, we just have to keep piling up and keep our heads held high with a vision for years to come. And if they manage to knock down the price to generate fear in the masses, it will be excellent to obtain a discount. We have to keep liquidity at hand and keep piling up weekly.

Honestly with the US elections if we get one cut I will be impressed. The Fed is so careful that it doesn't cut or increase rates to affect the election outcomes and the Fed wants months worth of data. We could get a Sep. but then Nov and Dec typically read hot so they wouldn't want to cut then due to holiday sales

That's a good insight. September might also be too close to the election, if they're concerned about political interference.

I think in Powell's ideal world he would cut in December to avoid the whole issue but with numbers for the most part trending in the right direction if he waits a few more months he might end up with a hard landing...
The EU numbers today though I think really help Powell though since they cut and their inflation came in higher than expected. He should be able to use that along with our mixed bag of numbers to continue to push.

They are always very careful about these things during election season. If only they would be this careful all the time instead of once every 4 years.

I've learnt that lowering the rates may also lead to inflation, then what's the benifit? The world needs to understand soon that Bitcoin is the way to go ahead.

The benefit is it lowers the cost of borrowing and the public and private sector are both up to their eyeballs in debt.

If they raise, they go on raising. If they cut, they go on cutting! All shameless clowns!
