Can any body here explain how it is retiring in Mexico? How is inflation there? And how easy it is to pay with Bitcoin for some things?
Unluckily, bitcoin acceptance is no where near how I'd like it to be a definitively a hassle that will depend on your level of Spanish.
Inflation has been in the range of (-1, +2.5)% per year of that of the US for the past two decades if memory serves me well.
Self promotion: I'm the CTO of Yopaki and we are building the first truly borderless neobank between the US and Mexico. Naturally, bitcoin-based. We're laughing in September of this year.

Interesting what makes your service better than Bitso?

Although we will perform full KYC, we promote and educate users on self-custody. To bridge the difficulties that newcomers to Bitcoin may have our app also contains a self-custodial (LN) wallet that connects to an LSP.
The Bitcoin-only nature of our mission also allows us to provide our users with a noiseless learning experience in the app by means of a readable educational content and interactions where you always feel in control.
We are building our services asking ourselves at every step, whether the features would be blatantly clear for our parents.

My fiance is mexican, we have alot of family and may have a property their, honestly - El Salvador or Argentina would be the place to go if you are a bitcoiner as they are more free market oriented, and it is a latin american country.
