How does China benefit from Russia being mired in conflict and cut off from its European markets and the Wests SWIFT banking network? Surely China is not now enjoying a massive flow of discounted oil and gas from Russia with the added bonus that what is paid for this energy (in CBDC Yuan and merchandise) is immediately expended upon a war on Ukraine that is costing the USA hugely?
