Why no two pools?
I'm not sure, exactly: It feels cluttered; I like everyone being in the same contest; sympathetic aversion to the accounting you'll have to do.
I also really like the free entry with expensive rebuy structure.

I like it too but the zap the pots don't generate a big prize like the buy in did so no one is going to rebuy 20k sats if the pot is 50k sats.

Good point, but I think you know that I will pay the rebuy (and also that I'll need to).
Here's a wild idea: you could make our initial buy-ins the tie-breaker. I have no idea what that'll result in, but I bet it'll generate a pretty large initial pot.

So you can buy in what you want but if we go to tiebreaker and you put in 2k sats and I put 10k sats I win?
reply
Yep

Only problem with that is there is no way of knowing who zapped and how much so I have to take people's word for it. If the buy in post is showing 50k sats someone could say they put in 10k sats but really only put in 1k and even though I might not believe them, I can't really verify it.
I would need to do by comment 1x1. I @ someone and they zap the comment their buy in.

That's true. You could also make people send you an invoice, but that doesn't generate rewards for either side.

Also it is not transparent. People can't see what has been zapped. I am sure people trust me but I don't want them to have to. Haha.
Also, I like some of the sats going to the rewards pool. All of SN should reap the rewards of a successful event on SN.
2 pools: separate and unequal
