A rather curious topic is that of student debts in the US.
Debts that in many cases last for many years even after the person has graduated. On Netflix a while ago I watched a documentary about it and it was quite shocking.
Name of the documentary: "Money, Explained" chapter nΒ° 3 Student Loans, in case you want to see it!
I recently listened to a podcast where they mentioned this topic, and mainly the news was that the US Government had forgiven a lot of student debt, but those parents or students who had already paid, thank you very much and see you later!
There was no kind of refund or even recognition for those people who with great effort and care had paid off their children's college debt. In the podcast they mention a video posted on X's platform that shows a father trying to confront a high-ranking US government official about the fact that he had to hold down three jobs to pay off his daughter's debt, and now he sees how the parents of his daughter's friends have had their debt forgiven and did not pay a single cent, and can now buy things or take vacations at the beach.
What do you think about this fact? π€
My opinion is that it is something terrible, but an example of the reality of why we should not depend on, or wait for the state to take care of us, or take care of our assets, be it a lot or a little.
Thanks for reading, I hope for your opinion, I love to know about other points of view. ππ€
