It's Saturday, thus it is poll day!

We did not reach any sort of consensus last week in the discussion regarding the NFL Survivor Pool. I am leaning towards doing two pools. One with buy in and one that is free and people can zap the pot whatever they want.

Last year buy in and rebuy for the pool was 10k sats. I was planning to move it to 20k sats for buy in and rebuy this season but a couple people suggested that might be too much for some and to keep it at 10k sats. Ultimately I want a nice balance of a good amount of participants but also the biggest prize pool of the year because this is our biggest contest.

So what say you stackers? How much should the buy in/rebuy be?

10k and 5k would be fine but I doubt new Stackers would be willing to join for this much amount. I'm not sure.

Not sure about the buy in / rebuy due to my scarce experience in the NFL. If still considering the free option , I am in. If I had to choose one option from above , I would go for the 10/10.

I understand this. This is why I would like a zap the pot pool as well that runs like a mini version of the paid pool.

I have been reading about the survivor pools and they seem really cool. Not sure whether you have tried with soccer earlier , but once the NFL’s survivor pool finishes, we could try with soccer. For instance, we could choose the premier, it can last for 19 weeks starting at mid-January till the end of may. Just an idea!

So, let me see if I get this right. In the fixture BUF vs ARI, according to the table, is more likely that BUF wins. And, in the match NE vs CIN, more likely that CIN wins. Am I right? However, I understand that this is sport and anything can happen….

They weren't out for long. I am not sure why Shanahan wanted to play the third preseason game. Most teams have the starters play a bit in the second game. Anyways, Shanahan is going to do what Shanahan is going to do. The 49ers have so many injuries right now. I am expecting a rough start to the season. They might have to win some ugly ones. Fortunately their are some gimmies in the first 5 weeks for 49ers.

There were a couple of injuries yesterday, but I'm not sure if those were relevant players. Other than Kelce and Mahomes, I can't think of an offensive group that has less reason to suit up for the last preseason game.

Floyd and Gross-Matos both hurt their knees. Not good. That’s the 49ers second and maybe third best DEs. Hopefully not serious. They can overcome one of them being out but not both.

Was the starting O-line playing? If so, it's not encouraging that Purdy was getting sacked by our bench players. Although, in fairness, our backup D-Line played better than the starters had played.

2/5. Williams is holding out. Banks is banged up (not serious). Feliciano is out until around week 8.

That’s being said Puni has been great this preseason so he is playing at a starter level at RG.

Not having Williams and Banks is pretty huge.

The rebuy can’t be lower than initial

People can be eliminated then enter at a discount. Eliminations should matter.

There should be two winners. Winner no rebuy. Winner after rebuy

Rebuy winner must have a scarlet letter asterisk

Hmmm I don’t mind the idea of the prize potentially going to two people. Longest without a rebuy and then the final survivor. Maybe I will do another poll about this.

I think it's better that more people participate than just having a few. There are many new people joining in these days, I don't see them joining if it's set too high!
