As our grocery bill goes up each week, I have started considering how to pre-purchase in bulk. My main motivation is that food is only getting more expensive, so I want to buy now to save!
Here are my reasons to hesitate:
-I love fresh fruit and veg and find canned options to be flavorless, mushy and less nutritious.
-Potential of inadvertently wasting food by not eating bulk purchases before they go bad.
-Carbs seem to top most lists of recommended items to bulk purchase (beans, rice, pastas, etc.)- which doesn’t seem super balanced.
How have you benefitted (financially and hopefully nutritionally) by bulk purchasing food? Any helpful tips or best items to buy in bulk?
Is it food prices going up or Fiat value going down?
