This should come as a surprise to no one, but the Chicago White Sox lost again today. They tend to do that a lot. 104 times already this year in fact.
With 27 games to go in the season, they are on the verge for breaking a record that has stood since 1962. The most losses by a team in an MLB season.
The current record holder is the NY Mets who lost 120 games in 1962. The White Sox only need to lose 17 of their last 27 games to claim the record. That should be a cake walk for them.
@siggy47 and @StillStackinAfterAllTheseYears, you're misery and shame may be coming to an end soon.
Sats for all,
GR
Do they play the Angels? The Angels will prevent them from infamy
Good point. I didn’t factor that into my assumption that 10-17 would be a cake walk for them.
Yes, 6 games against the Angels remaining.
if they get 6 wins vs the Angels, they may start believing they can win 11 games
edit: they have won 4 games since the all star game
Selling fast!

2 dollar seats
That’s awesome. I used to go to Blue Jays toonie Tuesdays games in the 90s.
You should check the team website (probably Ticketmaster) and compare prices
Or buy them at the game, I doubt it is sold out
Wow that’s one hell of a stat. 4 games since the all star break? That was 6 weeks ago. Damn.
unless I counted wrong

No you are correct.
It's kind of a perverse point of pride. Casey Stengel with his unique babble:

7 time world series!
This is baseball right?
yes
I used to be a Sox fan back in the 2000s, I changed to Cubs in 2014. I honestly prefer the atmosphere of Wrigleyville way more than where the Sox is located.
they have 31 wins right now
41 wins means 121 losses which would be a new 'record'
What is about
