Look, I think we can all agree this summer has been a bit shitty. That is based on "memorablity"(Is that even a word?). Normally, theres some kind of epic song, epic event, movie or something. But there was really none this year. This might have been moed due to the fact that everyone is just scrolling on tikotok and stuff like that these days instead of doing more long form memorable stuff(if that makes sense). Well my point is: Every summer there's always one song everyone can look back on and be like: "I remember everyone spamming Old Town Road in 2019 when school had closed" or "Everyone loved Calm Down by Rema last summer". Well for this summer, I really dont know. Well there's Million Dollar Baby by Tommy Richman or not Lik Us by kendrick Lamar. Personally mine is a criminally underatted banger called "Etouffe by Vince Staples" (you guys should actually try to listen to this, you wont regret it). So what do YOU guys think. I'd love to hear YOUR picks. (I'm new here btw)

This may be influenced by recency bias, but BACKBONE by Chase & Status and Stormzy is just such an absolute banger and an instant classic IMO:

my vote, not on the scale of impact you're talking about, but I love closed-in favs and summers that are memorable because of what I myself did to experience them. I'm going to see this artist next month, really pumped about it
