Ready to buy back in and swear off the Bengals! With what I saw I don't think they are a serious contender anymore. I remember reading about Burrows's wrist injury and how even with surgery there were going to be long-term issues with osteoarthritis and inflammation issues. Not to mention it was said it could take up to a year to fully recovery and since he wasn't able to throw the ball more than 5 yards down the field that's a huge red flag.
I got burned by the Bengals in my other survivor league. At least that one didn't have a buy-in.

Oh well. Juices the pot early with some rebuys incoming tomorrow.

2 fumbles didn't help the Bengals chances but Burrow doesn't look 100% yet. He wasn't bad but he wasn't good either.

Yeah I mean he looked average at best because of his ability to not throw the ball down field. I know they were short a receiver but you cant win if you can only through 5 yards down field

You didn't see Jimmy G take the 49ers to the Super Bowl five years ago only throwing the ball 5 yards down field? Haha Surprisingly Mahomes only averaged 7 yards per pass play last year but he has the threat of the deep ball and the scramble that opens up a lot of short over the middle for him.

Jimmy G was what I would call a game manager. Just like AJ McCarron was at Alabama. He threw the ball to keep the defense off-guard but the run/option game is what was the bread and butter. Bengals to me are built to be a pass first team and if you do that you gotta be able to chunk the ball.
That is wild about Mahomes though... Granted he also had to struggle with WR unable to catch a ball so that had to def hurt any sort of deep pass unless it was to Kelce lol

Yeah the Chiefs won because of D and Mahomes mastery last year not because they were an offensive force.
