tickets, membership to clubs, licenses to digital media like games / music, land deeds maybe?

one idea i’ve had for a while is bringing back “print runs” of books. print 1000 copies of a first edition book and it never changes. typos and all remain. then do another “print” for an updated copy. just a thought.

Tickets would be the first-mover in my guess. The scale is much bigger than you first think.

Parking tickets, airline tickets, bus, festivals, concerts, movies, conferences, etc

All these industries have essentially parallel invented their own ticket issuance, validation, and expiration networks and they must continually pay to keep that up and running.

Offloading that to a 'public network' like BTC-LN is an obvious winner

yep and with a protocol like RGB, you can do it all without a separate blockchain. lightweight

Isn’t a book not much different than a jpeg though in terms of the value prop? It’s just proof of “ownership,” right?

Well the idea is that if you own the license, then you always get access to it. It's a net gain for the consumer. It's proper ownership.

Compare this to digital goods today where your access can be revoked by Amazon or whoever at any time. Today, you're just a renter.

anyway, something to ponder i guess
