bitcoin++ is really great! a good collection of focused people go to speak, present, hack and vibe. @niftynei's keynote from this April was certainly memorable, like a stamp in time. I am not a dev but I still get a lot of value out of it, and prefer this kind of independent event to the big corporate, conglomerate clout chasing whatever kinds of stuff. So many awesome projects have come out of btc++ as well as friendships that I cherish!

I remember when I went to the Bitcoin conference in Miami in 2023, it was truly a unique experience. I remember that they touched on many topics. Some of the topics discussed in the forums and discussions were the stability of bitcoin, the fragility of the traditional financial system, new platforms to make cryptocurrencies more accessible, the need to "bitcoinize" the dollar, monetary policies and bitcoin, payment platforms, among others. Currently I want to attend the one that is going to be held in Madrid, Spain.

amazing review. May I ask you is it Watch Out Bitcoin? Also would like to screenshot this review and post it at bconf.org if I can? I plan to add a new section, something like conference reviews.
reply
Yes exactly I am very anxious to go.

You better ask how much people spend in total going to these events.
reply
I have never been able to attend one but I imagine that they become spaces for a lot of marketing and selling merchandise.
reply
I would say: stack sats not tickets to conferences.

Having a healthy balance is good.
You don’t necessarily want to become a conference junkie, but attending occasionally the most high signal ones can help you form some connections and friendships.

also skip buying food as it distracts you from stacking sats 😃
reply
no, I buy food with sats.
reply
why not, let's discuss this as well
