Why are uou not on android? What's stopping you?
reply
Which game? Clinch isn't available on Google Play because they do not allow skill-based wagering :( But you can play on mobile web at clinch.gg
reply
Which games are available on play store?
reply
All of the games besides Clinch (which you can access at clinch.gg). You can find a full like of the games (and links) here: thndr.games/bitcoin-games

Do you have any plans to make a Cricket game?
reply
Nothing in the pipeline at the moment! Are there examples that you like / recommend that we could check out?
reply
Like cricket fantasy game as dream11.com does. I think it would be super cool if we habe a fantasy game with Bitcoin which Indians can play. It'll be a superhit as soon as you release it.

Acrualmente uso algunos de sus juegos y son muy buenos

That's great to hear! Thanks so much for playing :)

What's the most surprising thing you've learned about play to earn mechanics?
reply
TBH it attracts users who are less likely to spend money in game and they are very difficult to monetize with ads. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but knowing this sooner rather than later is helpful when building.
reply
Where do you see Indian Online Sports gaming Industry heading towards? I hope you know, India tax a 32% from any gains made on gaming sites.
reply
It is definitely growing but is obviously experiencing a lot of the restrictions (much like other regions). It's really promising to see that the demand is there, but the industry will likely just have to grow slower than ideal due to some of these restrictions (like you mentioned).

What's your favourite outdoor sports?

If you could add bitcoin to any game on earth with the snap of a finger, which would it be?
reply
Animal Crossing!
reply
Yes that would be amazing!!
reply
I've enjoyed your games -- one of my first posts was a review of your games (#451194).
Is there a reason y'all nuked Bitcoin Bounce for iOS?
reply
Thank you for playing the games!
We temporarily had to remove Bitcoin Bounce from the App Store due to some changes Apple require us to make in order to keep it listed. We have it on hold for the time being until we can allocate proper dev resources to meet their requirements.
It is still available in Google Play, but I know that doesn't help much! So sorry about that!!
reply
Bitcoin bounce was so fun!
reply
Ahhh I am so sorry!!!!!
reply
I have an Android phone, so it's actually okay -- I just like having the option to play on my iPad as well!
reply
Haha I love the optionality!!! Sorry about that, but I am glad you can still get it on Android!

Smartest person you ever met?

Good question. My mom probably bc she is so zen and has life figured out, kind of like Yoda.

I'm a massive Nostr bull, and I assume you guys are too.
I've also thought a lot about how Nostr's "ecosystem of apps" dynamic will work in terms of gaming.
I have amazing memories playing Farmville with my friends on Facebook way back in the day. Do you see a future where Nostr will have something similar where there are "gaming clients" or something like that, and if so, what part would THNDR play in this? (Seems like it would be a no-brainer for you guys to be involved in something like that!)
reply
Do you see a future where Nostr will have something similar where there are "gaming clients" or something like that, and if so, what part would THNDR play in this? We love Nostr! I think there is a lot of potential here. We did roll out badges for the Leagues in our games, which was fun. I imagine there is potential if enough users want to control their user account social graph, we could add that as an option. We have also been thinking about using Nostr to allow users to place p2p wagers.
reply
I know a lot of gamers, however as I have been "out of the loop" on gaming for several years, I haven't had the chance to really delve into THNDR myself.
What would your "elevator pitch" be, which I can pass onto these gamer friends who I'm trying to orange-pill through their love of video games?
reply
For our rewarded games it is simple. You simply play games and earn bitcoin. It's as easy as downloading an app from the App Store or Google Play, play the games, and you will bitcoin. Why play mobile games for free, when you can play mobile games an win free bitcoin? thndr.games
Clinch is our skill-based pvp Solitaire game. You can compete head-to-head with other players, putting real money (bitcoin) on the line. Cilnch is depositless and has instant payout so there are no thresholds or time limits on your rewards! Clinch.gg

I've got a crazy one for you...
I've been deep in the GME saga since January '21, and have been spamming the crap out of Ryan Cohen (GameStop CEO) on Twitter to stop screwing around with NFTs, and get GameStop onto the Bitcoin Standard.
I also think there'd be huge potential for (at the very least) a collaboration between GameStop & THNDR to make something of this nature happen.
What would your team's thoughts on this be? Any ideas on the type of collaboration you guys think would make sense between the two companies?
I've built a decent audience in the GME-sphere on Twitter, so if you guys are up for it, I'd love to campaign for this. I think it'd be a match made in heaven. GameStop (and their investors--the most engaged investor base since Bitcoiners) need Bitcoin, and I believe THNDR would be a fantastic bridge to making that happen! 🎮⚡️
reply
We would LOVE to do ANYTHING with GameStop!! I think they easiest thing to accomplish would be to promote Clinch to the GameStop audience. It is built for degens and there are more games coming soon! We have a really good affiliate program coming out for it. If you email me at office@thndr.games we would LOVE to have you pilot it and push it to your GME audience / circle!!!!

Amazing, I'll dive into Clinch to get acquainted with it.
Update: Don't want to take this thread too off the rails here, but I'm currently stuck on this screen; when I click "check eligibility", nothing happens. I thought it was because I was in Mexico but I set my VPN to USA and still not working; is this a known bug?

Any chance of ThndrGames making web based games (vs downloaded app) in the future?
reply
Right now we have our skill-based Solitaire available on web. Check it out at clinch.gg.
Our future games will also all likely be available on web, as well as mobile.

I have played some of these games and I find them entertaining, such as Turbo '84 and the rewards work, I would like to know how it can be improved to have better rewards
reply
We have A/B tested giving higher reward amounts and it had no impact on engagement or retention. So we don't plan to improve the reward system as it stands. However, if you join the weekend tournaments, you can win a lot more sats by competing with other people! Also, I recommend checking out clinch.gg --> the rewards are endless there!

What's the biggest mistake amateur game devs make when using your dashboard?
I did the bomberman tutorial and want to start integrating the API into some of my own games using the dashboard but don't want to make stuff that no one will play or that will get me thrown in jail for forgetting to pay capital gains on a 10 sat payout.

Hey there! I think you might be talking about ZEBEDEE here, so I can't be very helpful - sorry!

Would you guys ever add something where i could pay sats not to get Ads?
Tetro Tile is my favorite game so far.
Will give Clinch a try.
reply
You can purchase no ads using in-app purchases. I know this isn't as good as paying with sats, but at least it gets rid of the ads! We have played around with making it possible to buy things in-game using sats, but there hasn't been a huge demand from users. Definitely try out Clinch! There are no ads at all :D
reply
Are you planning to add a first-person shooter to your portfolio, something like Lightnite?
reply
I don't think we will in the near future. Our sweet spot is casual card and puzzle games for the time being. But I miss Lightnite so much!
reply
Your games are great. Clinch is fun. Any new games on the horizon?
reply
Expect some new games within the Clinch app! Not just Solitaire!
Any game suggestions?
reply
Not really. Just curious.
Do you think play to earn will always be a mobile thing or do you think eventually there will be an earning mechanism built into xbox live and ps network?
reply
Hey Team THNDR- what are the economics behind the bitcoin rewards? Is it basically sharing ad revenue with your users?
reply
Ad revenue, in-app purchase, subscriptions, partnerships. Rewarded games increase LTV significantly more than the % rewards we give out.
Skill-based wagering fees are an additional monetization layer on top.
reply
What is the roadmap for thndr games? Are you hoping to be acquired by a major game developer? Or more the take-two route and make strong branded game that is open like Fortnite?
reply
We are really targeting the iGaming and sports betting industries for the foreseeable future. We're taking the power of our games suite and payments tech and bringing it and the power of bitcoin to these industries.

Interesting.

Clinch does have a daily fantasy app kind of feel to it.
reply
Is there a version for IOS?
reply
Ok i am playing this one.

Are you considering changing up the rewards/raffles structure by any chance? I used to like the fact that you could play 1-2 times per week and be entered into a relatively large raffle with considerable prizes (I think you were doing a Jackpot like once a week?). At some point it was changed to 1x raffle per day or something like that and as such, the prizes given out in each raffle were decreased significantly. As someone who is not keen to be playing every day, the older raffle model was much more appealing to me. Anyways, cool stuff that you're up to and hopefully helps onboard newbies to Bitcoin 🤠 Edit: Or perhaps you could even consider a hybrid model where there's both small daily raffles as well as a larger weekly one.
