3 day slice user here- the ads are non-intrusive and user friendly. i haven't seen many ads but have already accumulated 146 sats... not bad for a couple days of regular browsing.
reply
You don't really have any sats today.
You earn "slices" and you'll only be able to exchange that into Bitcoin in 30 days.
reply
true… I didn’t realize that. I’ll have to keep an eye on how my “slices” exchange into sats.
Love this but you have to wait 30 days to withdraw into bitcoin... sad

now this is interesting. ZBD continue to bring surprises

Looking at the extension permissions, this is a bit of a privacy nightmare.

Better than how ads currently work, but my ultimate goal is to eliminate ads, not see more of them... even if I get paid for seeing them.
reply
how do you envision publishers should monetize their content?
Why users earn "slices" and not Bitcoin directly?
Seems like an extra unnecessary step.
Note that you’ll only be able to convert Slices to Bitcoin after 30 days
Why that limit?
I thought this was Bitcoin native... as it is I don't see how this is better than the native Brave ads that is already working and also pay in altcoin.
Wasted opportunity, if this was paid in sats it would be great.

You can do this with “Brave” web browser as well as others. What’s different about it?
reply
Bitcoin
reply
With this you earn "slices", which you have to wait 30 days to convert to Bitcoin.
With Brave you earn "bat", which you can convert at any time to Bitcoin.

It is not retarded.

if you still don't have at least 2 identities online, you still don't know how to live in private...
reply
I do have ;)
but earning money this way only generates good money over long periods of time on as much browsing as possible - which would only be worth it with my real identity (including clear name social media) - which I am unwilling to reveal like this.

fair enough
