Some questions:
  • what if I run it at home but using a VPS IP through a wireguard tunnel?
  • what kind of node? full blocks node, pruned, neutrino, LN node only
  • public or private ? Is not the same if run a public node with large bandwidth and memory, ports open to serve everybody (not just default 8-10 peers) and private one, that only is leeching.
and many more aspects...

If you get lost, it's better to start from the basics: https://ekzy.is/demystifying-wireguard-and-iptables/

If you plan to pay, Tunnelsats is easy to install. Once you learn how it works, you can try to configure your own VPS. But reading all these guides is not enough really, there are many things where you can screw up and ChatGPT won't help )). But you can always go back to Tunnelsats and try again.

I plan to buy a Start9 as soon as fiat is worth less. I’m not sure if I should buy the more expensive one or the regular one without their homemade drivers. I’ll exchange it for Sats when the time is right.
