Just watched Don't Look Up, and although it may seem complete garbage to some, I think it paints a good picture of how ridiculous and clueless our society looks right now.
The topic could be replaced by anything truly relevant and important. I kept imagining the main characters as bitcoiners, shouting from their lungs for everyone to wake the fuck up.
Im big into 1950s early 60s stuff. Black and white.
Just watched Its a wonderful life (1946). And uh, its a very interesting movie. You have to respect its an old movie to truly appreciate it i think. But its also interesting to watch because it seems like its from a completely different world.
Other than that i watch the Twilight Zone (1959). Some of the episodes just blow my mind even tho its old af. Highly recommended.
Both Nic Cage films that I watched relatively recently. I tend to garbage collect all forms of media aggressively; I don't remember movies/shows shortly after watching them. These stuck for me though probably because I had enough conversations about them afterward.
I recommend: Let the Right One In, but the original version, not the US remake. (Låt den rätte komma in)
The movie is classified as horror, but the underlying story is mind-twisting. What do you do for your best friend or a person who you love?
(1 Scene in the original movie, removed in the remake, is crucial to really understand the dark side of the movie and if they are real friends or manipulation)
