personally, while i love how bullish the guy was to sell his house and go all in on btc, i find the concept of traveling all around the world while being a very public face of something like that extremely crazy
i feel like it exposes the kids and wife to a lot of potential danger. kindnap, random and all that.
and while we might say, yeah but he has hit wallets on multisig all over the world, some 2-brain thug doesn't know that and could still kidnap one of the kids or something.
like, it just seems very pointless. be a maxi, go all in, live in Portugal , fine, but what do these people stand to gain from publicly broadcasting it.
maybe just shitty fucking clout culture?

It's a chicken and egg situation. While trying to spread the good news (good for adoption), we kind of get ourselves exposed (bad for privacy and safety)

I think totally the same, the only thing I could agree with their philosophy is the part about selling everything, encrypting your wealth in Bitcoin and going out into the world, but I do not consider it prudent and intelligent to go around shouting to everyone who you are and what you do, the world is full of more bad people than good people, it is an unnecessary way to expose and risk your family, also being a little realistic I suppose they do it for advertising and marketing reasons, I suppose they also profit from their Bitcoiner family model.

Yes, it's a serious challenge. But it's also a challenge if you show off with fiat money. If someone knows you've a lot of money, don't you require safety. I think, it's not a valid question at all.

yeah, it's one thing when you have money in a bank account with all the bs security they have and stocks in accounts and debts leveraged against real estate
it's quite another thing when your wealth is all on a thumbdrive and the only thing between you and losing it is a wrench attack

That is probably it. It is also a question of each person's ideals. There are those who love being the center of public attention even if it implies risk and danger for their loved ones and for themselves. And there are those who prefer to carry out their projects with a low profile, taking care above all of their privacy and security, both for themselves and their family.
