Happy Monday, everyone!
Ben here, your local AMA guy.
After several weeks of rapid-fire AMAs hitting the tape, I thought it'd be a good time to take a quick breather, review of the last several weeks, and get a read from the SN community on what y'all think of the current routine.
  • Since late August, we've been cranking out AMAs at a clip of 2 per week. What do y'all think of that frequency; too much, too little, or just right?
  • @k00b has expressed interest in taking our AMAs into new areas besides the usual Bitcoin guests (health/diet for example). Which fields/topics would you most like to see join us for AMAs? And of those fields, which guests would you want to see?
  • As always, would love to gather as many potential AMA guest recommendations as possible. Slam me with as many as you can, so I can upgrade my mega-list, and start reaching out to the folks SN wants to have on!
  • All other feedback welcome. Looking forward to building the ~AMA territory into a force to be reckoned with both for SN user enjoyment, and bringing new eyeballs/voices into our community 🙌⚡️

More devs, projects, companies, founders less influencers is my vote.

I'm a huge fan of the AMAs! I'd love to see folks from fields adjacent to Bitcoin, e.g. builders and maintainers from:
  • Nostr projects (e.g. see all of these)
  • Other FOSS projects
  • Open Source AI (e.g. Cocktail Peanut)
  • Tech that promotes human development (e.g. the Kagi AMA #502409)
I'd also love to see more unconventional thinkers questioning mainstream dogma, e.g.

Great initiative to broaden AMA topics! Maybe include experts in AI or energy? It could spark fascinating discussions.

Great fun until now, well done! maybe having a monthly pinned post with the schedule could help with engagement

Guests:
Nina Teicholtz (author of The Big Fat Surprise, also has substack https://unsettledscience.substack.com/). She has this article out - The USDA is ignoring the massive science on the benefits of low-carb diets
And these are all carnivore doctors that have very active podcasts or Youtube channels, all super interesting: Dr. Ken Berry Dr. Shawn Baker Dr. Anthony Chaffee

I'm bullish on AMAs. We can have as many as we can. The suggestion by @K00b is absolutely on the mark. You aren't always gonna find Bitcoin people but we can learn from some other areas of interest as well. May be we get a celebrity, a small one, one day. Wouldn't that be great?

I think it would be cool to do AMAs on other things, top territories related.
