I’m not convinced the digital euro will become a reality. Many people are opposed to it, and even some politicians don’t want it. If it’s forced upon everyone, I still don’t think people will use it. This isn’t because people understand the nuances, but rather because old habits are hard to break. A similar thing has been observed in China and Africa. There is a big difference between using something a few times and fully adopting it.
