because... "is going up forever, Laura" :) cyclical turns are an invention of Keynesian guys. Bitcoin will change the whole perspective of how people will save money.
You lived your whole life in a "capitalistic" regime, when you were fed with certain information. You were thought how to spend, not to save... I lived my first 20 years in pure fucking communist regime. What I learned from that regime living? How to save money and resources.
When I find out about Bitcoin in 2012 I said: fuck, this is it, the ultimate way to save time, energy and resources.
When western country people will learn how to save using Bitcoin, then they will realize they lived their whole life in a fucking lie. You didn't lived in a capitalist world, you lived in a fucking lie, making you think it was a capitalist world.
We were trained to think that we are living a cyclical world... but is not. Only nature is cyclical, but humans are not. Humans are really random creatures. We were only trained to think that we are cyclical, because was easy to control the humans in that way, with cycles.
If humans would be cyclical, then you would know what you would do tomorrow. And you don't.
Bitcoin may mark a shift in the way we live our lives… but the article highlights “turn” events going back to 1781 (100+ years before Keynes was born), and suggests that we’re on the cusp of another one.
What does Bitcoin specifically do to eliminate the cyclical nature of economies?

What does Bitcoin specifically do to eliminate the cyclical nature of economies?
Simple: bitcoin is not socialist and not capitalist. Not keynesyan, not austrian. Is by itself a huge shift in human history, that we are just starting to understand its nature and how it will change pour lives.
Consider this: Bitcoin is the 2nd fire discovery for the humans. That impact in out lives will have. We are still early and we still don't know how to deal with it. Why? Because we are still trying to fit Bitcoin into existing system. THAT IS TOTALLY WRONG APPROACH.
Bitcoin is changing us and our system, whatever we want to do and most important is that is changing out mentality. Don't try to fit Bitcoin into existing system. BUILD a new fucking system BASED on Bitcoin features, politics and economy.
(Sorry man, if I upset you with my "opinions". I really appreciate your work and podcast. This is just a side note discussion).

I hear you on building a Bitcoin economy, rather than inheriting a failing system and the overhead that comes with it.
But I still don’t see how Bitcoin can eliminate the ebbs and flows of human nature. History is full of a long list of wars, revolutions, famines, booms, busts, etc… (on all sorts of monetary and political systems).
My base case here is that those events will continue into the future. Perhaps the severity and types of “turn” events are different?
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the pod!

I really appreciate your quite impartial stance. You are one of the few in Bitcoin space that seems to listen and "digest" the opinions of few.
Yes, indeed, human history is full of shit periods. We can't be so proud of that,as humans. We literally fucked themselves for centuries.
  1. Bitcoin will eliminate wars. Why? because wars are always started by banksters and governments. Period. There's no debate on this aspect.
  2. Bitcoin will create a parallel economy, based on natural law. Why? Because Bitcoin is natural math. You can't change it. Banksters will try to create their own world based on CBDCs but they will fail.
  3. A free market based society (thing that we are not living right now) will not have cyclical periods. Simple as that. Why? Because humans are non-predictable by their nature and will always try to find a way out of the system (whatever will be that one).
