I've known about Stacker News I think for two years now (Class '21), and I've seen my friend @NEEDcreations promote it and the polls he does on here, but for whatever reason it was my competition against @grayruby for our Survivor Pool championship that got me to sign up! I guess I was jealous I missed the boat to join his SN survivor pool, but grateful to connect w/ him on not twitter, but NOSTR! @davidt thanks for starting the NOSTR pool!

Currently I am trying to read the Master Algorithm by Pedro Dimingos. I bought it years ago and didn’t get very far so I picked it up again recently but it is a grind.

They can run out of sats or they can get used by the number of people you specified.

Not sure. I had created 5 and only used 3. Do you think it had something to do with the fact that I am using an external wallet now. Maybe it tried to pull from SN wallet and there were not enough sats?

Yep, that sounds like the cause. We don't pull invite sats from external wallets yet. I'll create a ticket.

So what happened was the referral link worked, but it said it had run out of sats and had 0 sats left. So not that the link expired but that it had 0 sats. So hopefully @grayruby still gets bounty from my posts or something like that? But @grayruby when you receive sats do those go to an external wallet too?

Yes, once you have an external wallet attached to the SN wallet you can set a desired balance for your SN wallet (can be 0) and anything above that balance will get auto withdrawn to your attached wallet.

hahaha. Look it's all pretty overwhelming, right? You go down and down the rabbithole and what do you find at the bottom? Stacker News I guess! First I had to get confident in Bitcoin. I had to publish a whole book about it! So I made a twitter, my first ever! And I used to lurk reddit, finally made an account! Then a friend said to submit a Bitcoin Magazine article, so I did! And then I was in the Bitcoin Magazine Contributors telegram group and a bunch of other telegram groups And then there's Satoshi's Journal. And Discord. and all the other discord servers And NOSTR and THNDR Games and did I mention twitter?? but finally Finally FINALLY am I here on SN! It's just like Bitcoin right? Now that I'm here it's like, oh crap, this thing is gonna be HUGE! Better gobble up all the bitcoin i can before everybody else catches on. haha!
