The historical ignorance of referring to US interest rates as "historical highs" is astounding.
What are the historical highs for interest rates in the US in reality?
I don't know much of the history about it.

In the 80’s they were close to 20%.

That's what we call historic!!
Well, I don't think inflation as the biggest indicator of an economy's well being. India has more than 5 these days but it doesn't feel so.
