Some time ago I posted this satirical photo.
Reading this short book reminded me of that post, which mockingly refers to the power system in Cuba, but actually corresponds to totalitarian systems. I thought of posting each chapter, but in view of the suggestion made by @siggy47, here is a synopsis of the book and the link. Enjoy the reading.
ANIMAL FARM by George Orwell
A powerful plea for freedom and against totalitarianism that has become a classic of 20th-century literature.
This satire of the Russian Revolution and the triumph of Stalinism, written in 1945, has become a landmark of contemporary culture and one of the most scathing books of all time. Faced with the rise of the animals on the Manor Farm, we soon detect the seeds of totalitarianism in an apparently ideal organization; and in our most charismatic leaders, the shadow of the cruelest oppressors.
Read this book again the other day. Great read

George Orwell was deep into the Fabian Socialist circles, saw real communists in action up close in Spain, and certainly had a brilliant mind when it came to extrapolating things like these into the future...
Reading Anthony Beevors giant tome on the Spanish Civil War I remember well the picture I got of the active communists during that pivotal event, their ability to destroy and grab power was ever present, as it is today!
